Manufacturer Part Numbers and UPC

Per clause I-FSS-600, you are required to submit Universal Product Codes (UPC) when available and Manufacturer Part Numbers (MPN) for each of your awarded contract items. Submitting this information not only keeps your contract compliant, but increases your visibility from government buyers.

If a UPC is not available for a product, you do not need to buy or register for a UPC. However, make every effort to obtain the UPC from the manufacturer and provide it as part of your catalog upload.

Suspension due to “inactivity”

Contractors are required to update or validate their electronic catalog or pricelist at least every two years to remain active in GSA Advantage or eLibrary. Catalogs or pricelists older than two years will be subject to removal from GSA Advantage or eLibrary, as applicable.

Even if you have not had any changes to your products and/or service offerings, you must still verify and re-upload the file every two years.

Electronic Catalog

In addition to your FSS Terms and Conditions Price List, GSA contractors are required to submit an “electronic catalog” to GSA Advantage so that your awarded offerings are available on our GSA Advantage e-commerce platform and you are visible to buyers in GSA eBuy. Your electronic catalog may only contain products, services, and solutions that are on your authorized FSS Price List.
