GSA automatically hides (i.e., suppresses) certain high risk products from GSA Advantage that have been verified to pose a high risk to our customers. For example, GSA automatically suppresses products that are manufactured by the five banned Chinese companies that put customers at risk of unauthorized surveillance (see FAR Subpart 4.21). At a later date, GSA coordinates with contractors to remove the products from the MAS contract. GSA automatically hides products that are:
- A national security threat
- Kaspersky Lab (FAR Subpart 4.20)
- “Section 889” (FAR Subpart 4.21)
- FASCSA Orders (FAR Subpart 4.22)
- Obsolete information technology
- Essentially the same as AbilityOne products
- Out of scope of the solicitation
