Automatic Removal of High Risk Products from GSA Advantage!
GSA automatically hides (i.e., suppresses) certain non-compliant products from GSA Advantage that have been verified to pose a high risk to our customers. For example, GSA automatically suppresses products that are manufactured by the five banned Chinese companies that put customers at risk of unauthorized surveillance (see FAR Subpart 4.21). At a later date, GSA coordinates with contractors to remove the products from the MAS contract. GSA automatically hides products that are:
- A national security threat
- Kaspersky Lab FAR 40.202(b) (GSA Class Deviation RFO-2025-40)
- “Section 889” FAR 40.202(d) (GSA Class Deviation RFO-2025-40)
- FASCSA Orders FAR 40.202(e) (GSA Class Deviation RFO-2025-40)
- Obsolete information technology
- Refurbished items
- Unmanned Aircraft Systems/Drones (SCP-FSS-001 and/or FAR 40.202(c) (GSA Class Deviation RFO-2025-40))
- Firearm or ammunition
- Non-Compliant with an Executive Order
- Executive Order 14151 Ending Radical and Wasteful Government DEI Program and Preferencing.
- Executive Order 14168 Defending Women From Gender Ideology Extremism and Restoring Biological Truth to the Federal Government.
- Executive Order 14208 Ending Procurement and Forced Use of Paper Straws
- Essentially the same as AbilityOne products
